Rainbow Flower Quilt as You go

I made this design but I lost the blocks when I moved.  It was so easy I may try it again.

I made this an 8" block, so cut the batting 9" and the backing 10" square.  The squares finish 2" so I cut strips of fabric 3" wide because I use a 1/2" seam allowance.

Stack batting and backing together, then position a yellow 2" square at upper left corner. Position pink 2" square right sides together over the yellow one.  Stitch in place.  Open out.

Start stitching at the seam line and stop at the seam line.  Do not stitch beyond the seam line.  The seams must be kept free for joining.

The patterns shown above are all easily adapted to this method.
